I was reading The Guardian and i was totally shocked to read the headline as highlighted as above.
A Malaysian minister defended plans to build an animal testing medicine lab in his state, saying God created monkeys and rats for experiments to benefit humans.
Animal Cruelty is against Malaysian law but there are no guidelines governing the use of animals in research. Animal testing had not been scientifically proven to be necessary to develop medicine. So what is the relevance of doing the animal testing then?
In my opinion, the minister has shown a total lack of compassion. A sensible person will not agree that animals should be tortured. The multi-billion dollar project will cause an immense suffering, death and misery for thousands of animals.
I am totally against animal cruelty of any kind. Wake up people!
